2026 LTA AWARDS - NOMINATIONS OPEN

It’s that time of year when we celebrate the outstanding and inspirational people, clubs, venues, and events that make tennis and padel across Avon so remarkable.

Nominations for the 2026 LTA Awards are now open, and we’d love your help in recognising those who have made a real difference over the past year.

There are 13 award categories, so plenty of opportunities to recognise someone special:

Cathie Sabin Volunteer of the Year – someone who volunteers in any capacity in tennis or padel.

Club of the Year – a tennis or padel club of any shape or size.

Coach of the Year – a coach working at grassroots, club, or community level.

Competition of the Year – a tennis or padel competition of any size.

Lifetime Achievement Award – someone who has volunteered in tennis or padel for more than 30 years.

Official of the Year – an official working at any level of tennis or padel.

Park Venue of the Year – any park venue delivering tennis or padel.

Performance Coach of the Year – a coach working with performance players.

Protect Where We Play Award – recognising outstanding work and commitment to sustainability.

School of the Year – any school delivering tennis or padel.

Tennis Opened Up Award – an individual, programme or project demonstrating outstanding inclusion and helping to make tennis or padel more accessible.

University of the Year – any university delivering tennis or padel.

Young Person of the Year – someone aged 14–24 who volunteers or helps in any capacity in tennis or padel.

Who deserves to be recognised? Perhaps it’s the volunteer who always goes the extra mile, a coach who inspires others week after week, a young person making a real difference, or a club, venue or organisation doing brilliant work in its community. A nomination only takes a little time to complete, but the recognition can mean a huge amount. This is your opportunity to say thank you and shine a spotlight on the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication that help tennis and padel thrive across Avon.

All nominations will be judged against the relevant award criteria, so please take a moment to read the criteria before submitting your nomination to give your nominee the best possible chance.
