Where is Avon Tennis and what we do

Since 2020 Avon Tennis has been a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (previously known as Avon LTA, which was originally formed in 1976), It covers the geographical areas controlled by the unitary authorities of:

- Bath and North East Somerset

- Bristol City

- North Somerset

- South Gloucestershire

Avon Tennis works closely with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and their South & South West Regional Team to deliver and develop tennis enabling the sport to be available to all at clubs, educational sites, parks and community areas.

Our Vision is to "Open Up Tennis".

Our Mission is to grow tennis in Avon by making it relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.

Our core Charitable Objective is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Avon by the provision of facilities for playing tennis.

Our Logo

In 2019, Avon Tennis introduced an updated logo to reflect the organisation’s evolving identity. Building on this, a further refresh was completed in 2026, alongside the launch of a new Padel logo designed to complement and sit seamlessly alongside the Avon Tennis brand.

The circular icon remains the same familiar shape but has been streamlined to create a bolder, cleaner, and more modern feel. It retains its two distinctive elements: the optimistic, sunny yellow above the flowing blue water - a nod to the River Avon, which connects the four unitary local authorities which we represent. The icon also cleverly reflects the shape of a tennis or Padel ball, with the crest of the wave echoing the curved seam you see on a tennis ball.

Alongside this, the updated typography brings a bright, contemporary look, reinforcing the energy and positivity at the heart of Avon Tennis.

We hope you love it as much as we do.
