Congrats to DL Long Ashton

National League Finals :

After a hectic season in the LTA National Youth League, where we entered the most teams Nationally from any club, we managed to qualify 3 of our teams from the Regional stages, into the National Finals, held at the NTC last weekend.

Our 18U Boys and Girls Team were looking strong , although without Sophia K but our 14U girls were also missing a couple of strong players but it is the hols of course.

So after a couple of long days, our 14U Girls came a commendable 4th but our 18U boys, who were incidentally reigning Champs, did it again becoming National Champions. It looked too much to ask for our girls as well but with a final push in the last 2 doubles matches, they also did it with a incredible 10-8 deciding breaker over Goslings top pair and our 18U girls also becoming National Champs. Congratulations!

Well done to all coaches and parents who helped out at the weekend, mainly Alec, Venessa, Sabine, Felipe and Sue and it really was an awesome effort by all the kids involved. Hopefully this achievement will be covered by ‘Point west’ live Monday evening at 6.30pm ish .
