Boys: A Team: Charlie, Luke, Deniz, Austin & Stewie. B team; Max, Teddy, Stanley, Felix & Noah

CHAMPIONS!

Once again, our fantastic Avon County 8U superstars won both the Girls and Boys regional event. In a very chaotic, but brilliant environment, Avon battled against Devon, Somerset and Cornwall.

Our Avon Girls A team won their event 13-3, with fantastic performances by Scarlett, Anya, Marli, Sofia and Holly.

The Avon Girls B team did a great job at finishing 3rd, with an overall result of 8-8. Well done players, Violet, Cara, An, Olivia and Zara. Stunning tennis against a very good field.

The Boys had some tough matches, a lot of teams had 1 or 2 top players. However, our strength was certainly our depth. For the A team; Charlie, Luke, Deniz, Austin and Stewie. For the B team; Max, Teddy, Stanley, Felix and Noah.

Avon A team just pipped Cornwall, Somerset A and Avon B team with a 13-7 score against other’s 11-9 score. The boys had some incredible battles and some amazing rallies.

With 20 players representing Avon Tennis, there were dazzling performances by everyone involved. Our Blue Army was loud and proud, playing fierce matches and then running off to play on the practise courts with their friends.

New friendships were built, silly tennis games created and fun memories made.

Well done to the whole team, players, parents, helpers, coaches, and ref, who all were very helpful in making this event a successful one.
